Super Mario Maker passes one million sales

Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Maker on Wii U has surpassed one million sales worldwide in less than a month, following its worldwide launch on September 11th.

Nintendo also revealed that over 2.2 million courses have been built on the game.

Despite consistently low hardware sales for Wii U, the game's rude health is the second recent bright spot on Wii U following the unexpected success of Splatoon earlier this summer. That game also flew past one million units sold within a month, and has since gone on to smash the two million milestone.
