Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Presentation to detail Dragon Quest's Hero release date

To say that Nintendo fans are highly anticipating the release of the next DLC fighter to be added to the lineup of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is something of an understatement.

It's just as well that Nintendo have just revealed that there will be a twenty-two minute long presentation featuring none other than Masahiro Sakurai himself who will be showing off "Hero" from the Dragon Quest series and when exactly we can expect to be able to play as them. (There are rumours to suggest that it might be as early as 31/07 but we'll pay no mind to those unless we're told otherwise tomorrow)

Here are the details of the latest tweets we're aware of...

Join Super #SmashBrosUltimate Director Masahiro Sakurai on 7/30 at 6am PT in a video presentation featuring an in-depth look at upcoming DLC Fighter, Hero from the #DragonQuest series! Alongside new details, he’ll be revealing when the fighter will arrive. Be sure to tune in! pic.twitter.com/BSbGmqXo9Y— Nintendo Versus (@NintendoVS) July 29, 2019

Ver 4.0 of Super #SmashBrosUltimate will arrive soon! This update will include fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating.

The times of when you can expect to see the broadcast are as follows...

  • 6 AM PT (July 30)
  • 9 AM ET (July 30)
  • 2 PM in the UK (July 30)
  • 3 PM in Europe (July 30)

As always at N-Europe, we'll try to bring you the full details soon after the presentation has ended, with any luck though it shouldn't be long before we have a new character to play as in Smash.

Are you excited for the presentation? Or are you just eager to get your hands on the latest DLC character? Have you bought the season pass yet or will you be waiting until all characters are revealed?
