Win a NX by playing Splatoon

We're still none the wiser about Nintendo's next console (although we have some ideas), still going by the code-name NX, other than it is due to launch in 2017. However, Nintendo is giving Splatoon players the chance to get their hands on one for free if they win a new competition.

Nintendo has teamed up with ESL, the world’s largest esports company, to host a Splatoon tournament with the catchy name ESL Go4Splatoon tournament. From 16:00 CEST (15:00 in the UK) this Sunday you'll be able to participate in weekly cups, each taking place on Sunday, with a team of Splatoon players.

The winning team from the weekly cup will each receive an item of Splatoon clothing signed by members of the development team (the press release does not make it clear if winners each week will receive clothing or just the first so we're seeking confirmation).  The top team of each weekly tournament will earn Go4Splatoon ranking points and each month the eight teams with the most ranking points will proceed to the Europe Monthly Final.  September's highest-ranking teams will go through to the monthly cup in mid-October.

The final will take place in 2017 and the winners will get the NX (or whatever it is known as by that time).

You can sign up on the ESL Go4Splatoon websiteebsite, but make sure you read the rules and regulations before you do!

Good luck to all teams.  Make N-Europe proud!
