While we have yet to review the latest Animal Crossing game (we're taking our time to do everything) we have recently been experiencing the joys of that famous community-driven gameplay element which the series has become known for, because while you can quite easily potter around your own private island for what seems like an eternity; it's nice to have visitors sometimes and to visit other islands as well.

But what happens when you get a group of Animal Crossing players together, who have put varying amounts of time into the title, ranging from a mere fifteen hours right up to one-hundred-and-fifty hours and counting?

Why not watch our latest episode of A Smashing Cast to find out? There's sure to be plenty of talk about landscaping, our preferred and not-so desirable residents, island names, fruits and much more besides.

A Smashing Cast - Animal Crossing Episode 1: Come Whine With Me

In this first edition, we visit each others islands, are given a tour, rate each others progress and just generally have a good time while talking about what we like and don't like about the latest Animal Crossing title.

There are plenty of insights into just how much work is involved in getting your island 'just right' from our more dedicated staff members and lessons learned from those of us who have barely put any time into the game and are simply amazed at finally having the ability to explore the rest of the island thanks to the kind gesture of a loaned ladder.

Oh and there might just be a Nintendo related easter egg on one of our islands which you may recognise from another well-known series, so look out for that.
