Acclaim (the masters behind the Turok and Extreme G series) have announced that they have a new game in the works - Vexx!

The action/adventure title is named after the main character of the game. Vexx is a young man whose world has been turned upside down by evil fiend. Vexx is out for revenge after "Dark Yabu" and his evil followers killed his grandfather. As his quest starts out, our hero stumbles accross a pair of Astani Battlegauntlets. The special gauntlets become permantly bonded to his hands, and play a major role in the game, bestowing upon him the power to fight and other special powers. So it's off to save the day!

Featuring 6 massive worlds spanning accross 18 lush fully 3D levels, Vexx uses complex combo-based fighting and super-powers bestowed by the gauntlets to overcome all that stands in his way! The game also holds real-time full day/night cycles. Once the sun falls players will notice a change in landscape and characters - enemies become noticeably more aggressive and surroundings turn hostile. Power-ups are also hidden throughout the vast game, and once discovered will enable you to do things such as glide through the large worlds.

If this wasn't enough, there are also hidden multi-player party games to be unlocked as players progress through the exciting game.

This is definitely one to look out for, and is scheduled for release before the Christmas holiday season this year.
