Animal Well - Out Now!

The long awaited ANIMAL WELL is finally out now on Nintendo Switch!

This puzzle-platformer is a Metroidvania with gorgeous pixel graphics and secrets as far as the eye can see.

Reviews have been trickling in for the Nintendo Switch version and they’re all glowing so far.

IGN were big fans of the title on Switch, giving it a score of 90.

What’s so brilliant about Animal Well is that despite the lack of context or tutorials, it does a pretty darn good job of rewarding the experimentation it encourages.

Nintendo World Report are also impressed, awarding it an impressive 85%. They were especially intrigued by the unique approach it takes to the genre, considering combat isn’t something on offer.

You may have noticed that I have not used the word enemy once yet. What genuinely surprised me is that ANIMAL WELL does not feature active combat whatsoever. Where Samus can fire beams at will to defeat enemies or interact with the world, ANIMAL WELL relies just on timed platforming, positioning yourself and distracting obstacles or aggressive animals.
