Capcom "looking forward" on Wii U, will resist "late ports"

More Wii U games from Capcom are in the works, and will be announced soon, despite the publisher having only announced (and released in Japan) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate so far.

That was the confirmation from the company's senior VP Christian Svensson.

And whilst Svensson obviously did not hint as to what these upcoming games were, he did suggest that they would most likely be new titles.

Having been asked on the Capcom-Unity forum whether ports of 'current-generation' titles like Resident Evil 6 and Lost Planet 3 could later see Wii U releases, Svensson replied: "With regard to WiiU, in general we're looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table."

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on both 3DS and Wii U is currently scheduled to release in Europe this March.
