NASCAR Heat 2: Road to the Championship from Infogrames is set to impress. Check out the first details.

The game, being developed by Monster Games features 4 different racing series of the sport, and players have the chance to rise in status from local racing to the best stock-car racer in the world. Everything from the 2002 season is included because of the official license.

The Career Mode is very impressive, you can receive over 100 parts to upgrade your car and you must carefully manage your team, so you can make it to the very top. Success on the track gets you sponsorships which mean more money to work with and buy parts with. Like any other NASCAR game, you can tinker with your car to your hearts content.

There are 31 tracks, spread across the four different series and many cars can be on the track at once, up to 24 is expected. Thankfully, this doesn't mean a drop in detail, as each car uses Gamecubes power well to provide detailed and realistic vehicles. These cars can also take part in huge pileups with accurate damage on them, not to mention the fun of plowing your car full-speed into your opponents.

It's bursting with different modes like Career, Season, Single Race, Beat the Heat, Pro Trainer and Head-to-Head so expectations are high for this racng title. Expect more details from the show.
