Mario Ambassador Video Featuring Charles Martinet and Shigeru Miyamoto

Nintendo have released a video featuring the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, and series creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, to discuss the details of Martinets new role as ‘Mario Ambassador’.

In this new role, Martinet will be travelling the world, going to events such as Comic Con, to share the joy of the Mario series with fans.

Miyamoto and Martinet share fond memories of meeting each other and thank one another for their work over the years.

Shigeru Miyamoto claims that Super Mario Bros. Wonder, releasing in October, will be the first game to feature the new Mario voice.

While we have already heard Mario’s new voice in the trailers and gameplay videos of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which seems to be a faithful impersonation of Charles’ iconic intonations, we have yet to receive confirmation as to who the actor is.

In a recent interview with IGN, Nintendo of America President, Doug Bowser, claimed that we will find out the voice of the new actor in the credits of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and seemingly no sooner, so don’t expect any official announcement before then.

"We'll let that play out and that'll be within the credits, people will learn who the new person is at that point in time, but we don't plan to make any announcement in advance of that."
