While Sega's 'other' Aliens game - Aliens: Colonial Marines - is getting most of the press coverage, it's the low-profile DS title that is out now and ready to enjoy.

Developed by WayForward Technologies, who have quite a bit of mastery in the 2D space after making such gems as Contra 4 and A Boy And His Blob, the Metroid-inflected Aliens: Infestation features a novel twist: if one of your squad members is killed, they stay dead permanently. Having them all killed gives you a harsh game over, and you'll be thrown back to the last save point.

The game is set firmly in the Alien universe, with locations and nods to the films strewn throughout the campaign.
