Dragon Quest Swords is well underway in development.

It's been a long time since we've heard any information regarding Dragon Quest Swords for the Nintendo Wii.

However, Square Enix have indeed confirmed that the game is 80% complete, which suggests that things are coming along quite nicely.

A release date hasn't been given, but the game is expected to retail later this year, the fact that development is well underway suggests that it should see a release in Japan before the year is out. As for the rest of the world...who knows?
