News: Eternal Darkness May Return

The masterminds behind Eternal Darkness have stated that there is a strong chance that they'll return to cult horror series in the future.

Silicon Knights are a former second-party Nintendo developer who worked on the cult horror GameCube hit Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, a remake of the original stealth-'em-up starring Snake (who made a recent playable appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl). They're currently developing the long-delayed Too Human for the Xbox 360 (which was originally scheduled for a GameCube release).

Speaking in a recent interview, Silicon Knights founder Denis Dyack talked about a future return to the Eternal Darkness universe. "There is a chance; we love all the games we work on. We don't want to be pigeon-holed [into a genre], we want to be known for strong contentThere's a strong chance we'll return to it, but there's no announcements yet."

Last year, Mr. Dyack spoke very highly about the Wii and said that he'd love to develop a game for it, depending on what type of game it was, of course. Could we be seeing Silicon Knights making their return to Nintendo systems at some point in the future?
