Today Nintendo announced a release date for Mario Sunshine in Japan. July 19th 2002 is the lucky day that will see the long awaited title hit the Japanese shelves at a price of 6800 yen.

Mario Sunshine is expected to sell well, being the first true Mario title on the Cube. Not much is really known about the game, but it is believed that Nintendo will kick off the hype at this years E3!
