You may have seen a movie on an American site that showcases a Game Boy Advance loading sequence and a short piece with what looked to be Mario running along in two dimensions. Speculation ran rife that the title was a new GameCube platformer in the illustrious series.

Nintendo just put a stop to all speculation.

"We know such images are available on the 'Net," said a spokesperson for Nintendo Japan. "They are not Nintendo's. At this point in time it appears that some amateur has made this up just for their amusement."

There you have it... The movie is a fake. A pretty good fake that is ;)
