Anyone wanting to pick up a second-hand copy of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D at some point take note: it has emerged that players will no be able to wipe their save file once it has been created.

It was thought that Capcom made the decision to try and combat second-hand sales of the game. However, a spokesperson from the publisher told Eurogamer that trade-in value will not be affected by un-wipeable save data.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D hits European shelves on July 1st.
