News: Mercenaries 3D Uncut in Germany

The German version of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will not be censored, unlike many other Resident Evil games.

German video game censorship is often much stricter than other countries, often resulting in violent games having major changes made before they are released. The Resident Evil franchise has featured many adjustments for the German market over the years but it seems that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will be uncensored.

The German box art for the game has been uncovered and it proudly boasts that it is "100% uncensored", meaning German gamers can enjoy all the blood and gore that the rest of Europe gets. While the box does also contain a very large 18-rating certificate at least the game has passed the censors unscathed, which is more than can be said for most of the characters in the game.
