News: More Final Fantasy III Details

More tidbits about the upcoming 3D conversion of Final Fantasy III on the DS. Click inside to read them!

Hiromichi Tanaka, the game's producer, has said that developing the game is proving a challenge - especially as the graphics have been updated beyond recognition to use "pseudo-3D". This means that although players will not be able to turn the camera angle (except for in certain buildings), the graphics will appear 3D like, and zooming in/out is still possible.

A number of gameplay changes will apparenlty be made, one of which will be a revamped job system in the game. Gameplay will be possible completely with the stylus - no buttons need be used. More of the DS' unique capabilities will also be used apparently, though Tanaka didn't reveal any more specifics.

Wireless features are planned for the game, though more than likely instead of a multiplayer, wireless functions will allow the download of additional bonus features.
