One of the biggest aspects of Need for Speed games are of course the cars, and Electronic Arts know this all too well. Two cars have so far been confirmed; Mazda RX-8, BMW M3. Pictures in the magazine show the team recording sounds at a Porsche garage, so it is safe to say there will be at least one Porsche in the game. As well as this there will be American "muscle" cars, such as luxury Sedans, SUVs, and a compact tuner. Concept sketches also show a SUV police car and a Corvette police car.

Like in the Hot Pursuit series cops will play a large part of this game, with Electronic Arts including car chases of up to a possible fifteen police cars! The police will also use "real" police tactics, such as causing road blocks to catch you out.
