Nintendo have launched a new simultaneous worldwide Mario Kart Wii competition. It's time to head into the big city for a Time Trial in the N64 Skyscraper, but watch out for those Bob-ombs!

Our Wii is glowing! What could it be? A system update, a new Wii Channel, a free gift? Nope, it's just a new Mario Kart Wii worldwide competition... Time to get thrashed by those dirty cheaters - again.

Launching today, the competition sees you racing a Time Trial around the N64 Skyscraper level. Dodge the pesky Bob-ombs to pick up items for speed boosts to try and secure a decent time on the leaderboards.

The competition can only be played with a Wii Wheel, and the deadline is the 10th of September. Happy racing, everybody!
