We posted yesterday that Nintendo was going to release a Chrome GameCube in cooperation with Nike. Our source claimed to have heard this form Nintendo Dutch PR-Manager, Frank Rittinghaus. Well, I just got off the phone with Rittinghaus, and it appears that our source had missunderstood Nintendo's spokesman!

Now following... the real story.

Nike is going to throw a special event in June this year, NikePark. At this event Nintendo will place some GameCube promo stands probably showcasing some football games.

Together they will also throw a competition... but the prize is still to be announced.
