Nintendo has revealed that it will be distributing Solatorobo: Red the Hunter for DS in PAL territories later this year. The game was published by Namco Bandai in Japan during the last quarter of 2010.

Solatorobo is a heavily-styled, 3D action-RPG from developer CyberConnect2, who are perhaps best known for developing the .hack// and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja games. Solatorobo is considered a spiritual sequel to the studio's late-90's Playstation RPG Tail Concerto.

The game is set upon the mythical floating islands of the Shepherd Republic. You take on the role of Red Savarin, an "anthropomorphic dog" with the ability to take the form of a human. Red will face up against fearsome mecha warriors as he explores the vast floating islands of the world. The game was awarded a very healthy 33/40 (9/8/8/8) in Famitsu last year.

Solatorobo is due to release in Europe this July.
