News: Nintendo Unveils Life-Size Mario Karts

Nintendo unveiled life-size Mario Karts at this years L.A. Auto Show presentation.

What way should you launch a game? Nintendo have thought of many in the past from piling a huge mound of bananas in Australia to... decorating a bench. So to create life size replicas of Mario Karts is by far their best idea yet and better still - They can be driven!

Nintendo revealed the karts in collaboration with West Coast Customs to an excited audience and an even more excited Reggie. Two karts were created from the MK universe, the first being a standard kart featuring a glider attachment whilst the second is based on Luigi's Bumble V Kart and features a rear propeller for underwater action.

Reggie was hoping to reveal a "big damn truck" but was happy enough showing off these real life karts as were West Coast Customs who said that it was a dream come true.

"We've played Mario Kart games for years, so it's a dream come true to bring these karts to life, We think people will be blown away by seeing these cool video game vehicles in person."

The karts will be on display at the L.A. Auto Show which runs from November 18th to November 27th.

Mario Kart 7 is less than a month away, are you planning to get it on day one or would you much rather ride around in one of these real life karts? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
