Looks like no Animal Crossing for Europe. Why us....?

Nintendo has recently commented saying that Animal Crossing will not make it to Europe.

Nintendo said that there were localisation problems, and also the next Animal Crossing game is already in development, so it would be pointless to pour resources into porting the first game over when they need to concentrate on the second.

A Nintendo insider stated, "Animal Crossing 2 (tentative title) will become the new way of communicating for the console generation. It will see a happiness-themed community of friends the likes of which have never been imagined"

So, maybe Animal Crossing 2 will be an online game from Nintendo? It certainatly sounds like it-but we'll have to wait and see...
