News: Resi & Zero Wii-Makes Are Separate

Capcom are planning to make you shell out for both Resident Evil and its prequel Zero separately... Grrr...

In news sure to make gamers bloodlust rise higher than the average Crimson Head, it appears that Capcom are re-releasing Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Zero to the Wii as separate titles, not together as previously understood.

Let's be clear here. Resident Evil is a game originally released in 1996, thirteen years ago, and while it was revamped significantly in its 2002 GameCube release, it really hasn't changed enough to warrant yet another purchase for repeat buyers - which there's a big market of, considering that the Wii is technically the seventh platform it will be released upon.

So to hear that gamers will be charged $30 (likely the same amount in Euro money) for this, and then another $30 for Zero really doesn't have us too chuffed at all.

Roll on The Darkside Chronicles instead...
