News: Smash Bros. Brawl Delayed Slightly

The most eagerly awaited Wii game has been delayed slightly in Japan and the USA...

Americans and Japanese gamers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on Super Smash Bros Brawl. Today, the official site informed readers that the title would be delayed until January 31st in Japan and March 9th in North America. While it's only a week delay in Japan, its almost a month extra for USA gamers.

"Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we've had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th," Sakurai wrote in the game's official website. "I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience."

There was no firm date for Europe anyway, so this can either mean we're getting the game slightly later too, or the release date will stay the same and we're getting it fairly close to USA. We'll keep you up to date.
