News: Smash Bros. Brawl Sells 1.4m In US

It's official: Brawl is selling like hot cakes!

That's right folks! Just as expected, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is doing rather well. In fact, it's doing so well, it's the fastest selling Nintendo game in North America ever.

Since it's release on 9th March in the USA and Canada, 1.4 million gamers have gotten their hands on a copy of the eagerly anticipated sequel to the Gamecube hit. For those of you with better things to do than maths, that's roughly a rate of 120 per minute, or 2 per second. This, however, will come as little surprise to many of you after the title's runaway success in Japan, and the shipping of 874,000 copies on the first day in North America alone.

Unfortunately, while around 1.4 million Americans and Canadians are happily following the Japanese into the feature-packed fray, us Europeans are still awaiting that all important release date. Keep an eye on N-Europe for all the latest...
