News: Software Update Causes Ridge Racer Problems

The impending software update for the 3DS causes Ridge Racer 3D to be less RIDGE RACEEEEER! and more stuck to the spot.

Prior to the launch of the 3DS Nintendo made it clear that a software update would be released, originally scheduled for May but delayed until June 7th, that would see a bunch of new features added. We've given you a run down of what to expect but owners of Ridge Racer 3D may be disappointed to hear it may impede your gaming.

Andriasang report that Nintendo has confirmed that owners of Ridge Racer 3D will feature some problems if they update their software. However, the bug is specific and avoidable and a patch is being worked on.

According to Nintendo if you press B during the Machine Select or Race Select screens before starting a Single Play or Grand Prix race it may cause the screen to freeze. The best solution so far is to simply not press B but Nintendo is working on offering a fix by mid-June to solve the issue.
