News: Sports Resort Tops UK Charts Again

Wii Sports Resort is the best-selling game in the UK for the second week running, as Nintendo titles continue to dominate.

Nintendo's MotionPlus-enabled showpiece Wii Sports Resort is top of the UK charts for the second week running, closely followed by Wii Fit in spot number two (and after a staggering 64 weeks on the chart no less). Third and fourth places go to the latest Tiger Woods and Harry Potter titles respectively, while EA's Sports Active title for the Wii makes it eleven weeks in the chart in spot number nine.

Unsurprisingly then the Wii chart paints a very similar picture, with Sports Resort and Fit in the top two places, followed by EA Sports Active in third. Mario Kart Wii makes fourth place despite an even more staggering 69 weeks of release. Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10 is in fifth, while other MotionPlus titles Grand Slam Tennis from EA and Virtua Tennis 2009 are in seventh and ninth respectively.

Over on the DS front, Professor Layton refuses to give up his top spot crown once again, with the top three rounded out by Pokémon Platinum and Harry Potter. Mario Kart DS sits happily in fourth place - 193 weeks after its release.
