News: Telltale Bring Strong Bad To WiiWare

Telltale Games are bringing the villainous Strong Bad to the Wii with his own game!

Telltale Games announced earlier this year that they were developing a brand new episodic WiiWare series, but they've managed to maintain that Nintendo level of secrecy, until now. At the Nintendo Media Summit, Telltale announced their new game based on the Homestar Runner online animated series.

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People stars the villainously cool Strong Bad, Homestar Runner's archnemesis who wears boxing gloves, a wrestling mask, and reads fanmail with a sarcastically charming overtone. The game is a story driven 3D point-and-click adventure (like Telltale's famed Sam & Max games) in which Strong Bad must interact with other characters and use inventory items to solve dialogue-based puzzles to unravel the hilarious plot.

"Homestarrunner.com is one of the biggest success stories in online entertainment," says Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "The Chapmans have been treating the Internet to episodic content for years. We're thrilled to have teamed up with them to take episodic gaming to the next level via Nintendo's innovative WiiWare delivery system."

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is said to feature easy-to-use controls and utilisation of WiiConnect 24. The game will be released as a five-episode 'season' starting in June, with new episodes released each month.
