News: Third Party Balance Board Revealed

Can't find Wii Fit? Don't worry! Now you can get a balance board without having to find Nintendo's giant box of fitness.

It was only a matter of time until someone decided to cash in on the actual Balance Board itself... Produced by Njoy, the G-Board Balance Board has cropped up on Amazon listings and certainly looks to offer something different to Nintendo's own board.

Although priced at a hefty 64.99, the G-Board looks like a unique spin on Nintendo's own board, which was bundled with Wii Fit back in April. In a nice touch, the G-Board comes with an added digital panel at the top of the board which, presumably, will offer the user an optional visual indication of their weight. As nice as the digital feature is, unfortunately the board seems to ignore the smooth, friendly lines of Nintendo's board and harshly divides the board into four easily noticeable sections with two "feet" areas.

As costly as the G-Board is, many cutomers are still finding it difficult to come across Nintendo's own Wii Fit. Certainly, those titles which support the Balance Board (such as Family Ski) could greatly benefit from third-party boards being available.

The G-Board will be available from September - just dont expect it to be an easy find!
