News: Thor Voice Actors Cast

Sega has signed two actors to lend their voices to the upcoming Thor: God of Thunder video game.

Thor: God of Thunder marks the first time the comic book character has been the lead in a video game and Sega are pulling out all the stops. They have hired Chris Hemsworth, who is to play Thor in the upcoming film Thor and the film The Avengers and has previously been seen in other films such as Star Trek (2009), to provide his voice and likeness to the title. They have also hired Tom Hiddleston, who has appeared in numerous British television shows such as Wallander and Casualty, to provide the voice of Toki as he is to do for the Thor and The Avengers movies.

"Bringing in Chris and Tom to star in Thor: God of Thunder gives us AAA talent that will create a truly cinematic interactive experience. Mighty Thor and the trickster Loki will face off with real emotion while giving fans visual and vocal continuity between the video game and film adaptations of the Marvel franchise."
- Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA of America.

Thor: God of Thunder is written by Eisner Award winning writer Matt Fraction and lets gamers battle through numerous worlds within Norse mythology. The title is due for release in spring 2011 and the first Wii screenshot can be seen below.
