News: Turok No Longer Extinct

Buena Vista has announced that it will publish brand new Turok games for both consoles and handhelds.

Buena Vista Games recently declared that they now own the video game rights to the Turok franchise as a result of an agreement with Classic Media. While details are scarce, we now know that Buena Vista Games will publish new Turok games for handhelds and consoles, including the next generation. The development will be handled by Buena Vista Games' new studio, Propaganda Games.

"Through compelling new technology, game design and graphics, it is our goal to take the Turok franchise to new heights," said vice president and studio general manager Josh Holmes. "The brand's rich, prehistoric setting and ferocious monsters provide us an extensive palette of content to create the most intense, action-packed game play for next generation console systems."

Some members of the developing team have worked on the Def Jam and NBA Street franchises at Electronic Arts.

At this moment in time we are waiting for Buena Vista Games to announce more details on these new Turok titles. Keep checking back for more information as we get it.
