Wario's new Wii exclusive title has entered the UK all-format weekly charts at number two, just behind Capcom's new release for the Xbox 360, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition.

Meanwhile in the hardware chart, a fresh batch of Wii consoles into the UK saw sales of Nintendo's revolutionary new machine soar up by 85 per cent. Reflecting this, Zelda: Twilight Princess saw a similar jump up the charts - from number 36 to number eight! It appears that if the consoles are there, they - and the software - will be bought.

Other Wii titles also re-entered the top 40, with Wii Play re-entering at 19 and Red Steel at number 34.
