News: Wii Fit & Layton Dominate UK Charts

Nintendo software rides high in the UK, with Wii Fit on top of the all-format charts for another week!

Health 'em-up Wii Fit is still riding high in the UK charts, months after launch. Sitting on top of both the Wii software and all-format charts for yet another week despite stiff competition from Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty: World at War, the game doesn't look like it'll be going anywhere any time soon.

Other Wii titles in the top ten all-format chart include Mario Kart Wii at six and Wii Play at seven. Great news for fans of the DS puzzler Professor Layton and the Curious Village as well this week - the game has once again topped the DS chart, but is also a very respectable fourth in the all-format rundown as well.

Some interesting Wii Fit stats: as of December 2008, the title was the Wii's third best-selling game with 14 million copies sold - making for over $1.26 billion in revenue for Nintendo.

Recession, what recession?!
