News: Zelda �5 Million Advertising

Nintendo are planning a �5 million advertising campaign for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

The game which is set to retail in Europe on 2nd or 3rd of May is set to have TV, print and online advertising and limited edition versions of both the game and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Pak.

TV advertising will target children with a 30 second advert on terrestrial channels and satellite channels including Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Fox Kids. The advert showcases Link's quest to save his sister. The print adverts are whole page adverts that say "Coming Soon" or "Out Now" depending on the publication release.

The online advertising is aimed at both children and hardcore gamers with banners and such forth on the official Nintendo of Europe site and the new The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker site.

As well as the game including the much talked about bonus disc containing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Master Quest. Nintendo are also releasing a limited edition pak containing a platinum GameCube and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and also the bonus disk. The pak will retail at �199.
