Nintendo eShop new releases (week 05)

A selection of new titles are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Including...

The highlight... Kharon's Crypt - Even Death May Die, is a dungeon-crawler which is clearly inspired by the portable entries in The Legend of Zelda series, (and other titles) right down to the mock Game Boy Color frame which surrounds the gameplay. It's priced at just over ten pounds, but it looks like a lot of effort has gone into this project, and it looks like it has an identity of its own which extends beyond the games it borrows from.

Deal of the week... Ceilless, is a title with simple presentation, which looks to be made in the style of a maze-like puzzle exploration game from the late-Eighties to early-Nineties. If you used to play these kinds of games growing up, then this may be of interest to you, and if not, this still might be of interest to you, as it's just over two pounds, and it looks like a potentially fun title.

Award for "This is a game?!?" goes to... ABC Follow Me: Animals, which seems to be an attempt at "edutainment" a piece of learning software intended for children. It seems to have had some effort put into it, but at just under nine pounds, eShop credit might be better spent on just buying a decent game instead, or a book perhaps?

Worth checking out... Alexio, which is a game, starring a Duck, which has an appealing pixel art style, and a write-up which sells the game in a simple way, which plays on nostalgia and shows you exactly what you can expect from this retro platformer.

Check out the list and click on the link at the bottom of the page to view them on the eShop, and from there you can access each game page.
