Pikmin 1 + 2 Physical Release Out Now

The fantastic first and second entries in the Pikmin series arrived on the Nintendo Switch eShop a few months ago, and now are finally available in physical form! These two classic GameCube titles have an RRP of £39.99.

The physical release of Pikmin 1 + 2 comes on a single cart and features both games. Not much has changed in these releases, there’s nothing in the form of additional content or anything like that, but they have been upscaled to HD and benefit from optional motion controls.

There’s nothing in the form of extra content but what is on offer is substantial. While Pikmin 1 is a fairly short experience, coming in at around 5 to 7 hours in length, it’s a quality one through and through, filled to the brim with atmosphere, interesting and eerie worlds, and fascinating enemies.

Pikmin 2 is the true meat of the package though, with the story mode offering around 20 hours or more of content, thanks to the masses of items to collect, the bigger worlds and the wonderfully challenging caves.

Not only is the story mode much more fleshed out, but an optional mission mode offering a bunch of challenging quests, which can be played with 2 players simultaneously, can also be enjoyed alongside or after the main campaign!

Pikmin 1 + 2 also just recently got patched just in time for this physical release, offering a few more language options as well as a couple of bug fixes, of which you can read below:
