Rumour - New Smash Bros. fighters leaked early?

Seriously, don't read on if you were hoping for a surprise tomorrow.

It appears as though two new additions to the roster of Super Smash Bros. have been revealed ahead of schedule.

Joining the ranks of Nintendo's finest is one returning fighter, and one all-new third-party newcomer.

The leak came to light on NeoGAF, and the cause is apparently tomorrow's patch for the game being sent out early in Japan. This meant that clever internet people could forensically trawl through the data of the update, and found the short 'victory' videos that the game plays upon beating Classic mode.

The first new fighter hasn't been seen since Super Smash Bros. Melee, and he joins several compatriots from the Fire Emblem series. It is of course the flame-haired hero from Pherae, Roy.

The other character is the main face of a little-known fighting series from Capcom.

The leak seems pretty solid, and one would presume that Roy and Ryu were due to be revealed in tomorrow's Smash Bros. Direct. That is due to air at at 15:40 BST.
