Skyrim Anniversary Edition Available Now on Switch

Skyrim enjoyed early success on the Switch, being an impressive port with interesting extras such as optional motion controls and exclusive Zelda content.

Last year, other platforms enjoyed the Anniversary Edition in celebration of 10 years since the original release in 2011 on PS3 and Xbox 360. This newer version of Skyrim boasts new quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more.

Despite a recent Nintendo Direct with no news of the game, and no recent announcements from Bethesda about a Switch version, they stealthily dropped it on the eShop on Wednesday night, a nice surprise indeed!

This version is now available on Nintendo Switch for £59.99 from the eShop. If you already own the original Switch release, you can upgrade to the newer version for £17.99.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is a comprehensive edition of Skyrim that bundles together the Special Edition and a total of 74 Creations which contain over 500+ new individual elements such as quests, items, armor, houses, and more.

The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages has a comprehensive look at all of the 74 creations if you feel like a deep dive before making the purchase and getting lost in the world of Skyrim all over again.
