Months have passed since Sonic was banished to his plastic cocoon but now Amazon have a sale on the prison-like PDP controllers that were all the rage in late October.

With over 50% off, the controller featuring a Sonic figurine inside of it, which we previously reported on, can be purchased for £15.99. Sadly, rings are not a valid form of payment.

Still, the reduction in ransom fee for Sonic will no doubt be tempting, the question is though, will you be the one to save him?

We have no idea how long this deal lasts, so free Sonic while you can, as we are in a cost of living crisis, and at the RRP of £34.39, Sonic isn’t likely to be freed when the discount ends.

We had a brief chat with Eggman and asked him how PDP and Jeff Bezos of Amazon were able to capture Sonic before him. Here’s what he had to say:

I’ve been trying for years to capture that wretched little hedgehog, but quite frankly it’s the arse-end of 2023 and I’ve got more important things to think about. My career is nearly over thanks to Jim Carrey taking my lead role, and my brand recognition is at an all time low. PDP didn’t even attempt to trap me in a controller, do you know how that makes a man feel?
