Super Mario Odyssey launched on the Nintendo Switch last week and has already gone on to sell over 2 million units worldwide, becoming the fastest-selling Mario title in Europe in the process.

Furthermore, Super Mario Odyssey is the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game in Europe and as Game Data Library point out it is also already the 8th best selling game this year in Japan (just behind The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild).

The Nintendo Switch itself has also seen an increase in sales since the game's release and the console is already on track to soon surpass the Wii U's lifetime sales.
