E3 week will kick off with a Smash, after lead producer Masahiro Sakurai announced a special broadcast for fans on Sunday June 14th.

Shortly before the update goes live that will make Mother 3's Lucas a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, a video feature will air detailing his move-set.

However, it raises the question whether the returning fighter alone is worth his own special broadcast on the eve of E3, leading many to speculate whether further surprises may be in store.
