Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hosts a Brawl themed tournament, starting this Friday

Ah the great Super Smash Bros. Brawl which released on the Nintendo Wii way back in 2008, we remember it well here at N-Europe. How did the lyrics go to the intro song again? Something about fleeing some salami and a prevailing omelette? Anyway, I digress...

The point is that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was a very important entry in the series, it represented the first time that the series would have third-party characters in it introduced as 'guests' which would then go on to become DLC in later entries and it also gave us the wonderful Subspace Emissary mode.

Starting on Friday April 10th, 2020 the tournament for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which will have a theme based on which first-time characters appeared in the Wii game plus, items, stages and a ruleset which was available in Super Smash Bros. Brawl; this tournament will last for three days.

Do you have fond memories of Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Was it your introduction to the series? Did you end up importing it significantly before the European release date, completing it, getting just about everything in the game and then end up not being able to play the NTSC version any more because of the famous Wii update which blocked the use of a Freeloader disc? (Or was that just me?)
