Check out the details from the original Tweet below...

Join Super #SmashBrosUltimate director Masahiro Sakurai on 1/16 at 6am PT for a roughly 35 minute video livestream featuring an in-depth look at an upcoming DLC fighter, which he will unveil in the video!

And Below are the times for when you can expect to see the broadcast...

  • 6 AM PT
  • 9 AM ET
  • 2 PM in the UK
  • 3 PM in Europe

Of course you can be certain that N-Europe will be covering the event, so expect to see either a press release or a general roundup article soon after the special broadcast has aired.

Just who could the final fighter as part of the Fighter's Pass be? Going by the characters which have been released so far, it might be safe to assume that we'll be getting another third-party character but nothing is off the table when it comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

If a character has appeared in a video game which has been released on a Nintendo platform, then they are eligible; currently our favourite Nintendo characters which we'd love to see are Wart from Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES and of course Rick the Hamster from the Kirby series, while if we had to bet on another third-party character then of course Arthur from Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts on the SNES would be our pick.

What do you think about the last fighter from the Fighter's Pass? Do you think it will be an unpredictable pick seemingly out of nowhere? Or more of a safe bet being that this could be the last DLC character we'll see coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for a while?
